Caller Type Filtering and Step Tool Access

Outbound campaigns can now exclude residential lines while still dialing business numbers on the same carrier, step tool access settings survive an edit, and prompts running on Anthropic models work again.

Published: September 1, 2026

This week's update to the Syllable Agentic Platform adds a business-or-consumer caller type filter to outbound campaigns, so a campaign can exclude residential numbers without dropping callable business lines on the same carrier. Three fixes land alongside it: per-step tool access settings now survive an edit instead of being silently cleared, the transcript endpoint reports whether a transcript has finished processing, and prompts and insight tools running on Anthropic models work again.

Campaigns

  • Added a business-or-consumer caller type filter to outbound campaigns so that residential numbers can be excluded while business numbers on the same carrier are still dialed.

Tools

  • Fixed step tool editing so that each step's access settings survive a save, instead of being cleared in a way that could let a step call tools it was meant to be restricted from.

Sessions

  • Added a transcript_complete field to the transcript endpoint so that an integration can tell whether every message and tool call for a session has finished processing before reading the transcript.

Prompts

  • Fixed prompts and insight tools running on Anthropic models so that they no longer fail after a change in the Anthropic SDK.
